Neil Young - He Was The King FLAC album

King went a-runnin' after deer Wasn't scared of jumpin' off the truck in high gear King went a-sniffin' and he would go Was the best old hound dog I ever did know.

Neil Young is the self-titled debut studio album by Canadian musician Neil Young following his departure from Buffalo Springfield in 1968, issued on Reprise Records. Some sources place the album's release date on January 22, 1969, while other sources have the release date as Young's 23rd birthday, November 12, 1968. It was then partially remixed and re-released in November 1969, but at no time has the album ever charted on the Billboard 200.

The last time I saw Elvis He was singing a gospel song You could tell he had the feeling And the whole world sang along He was the King. The last time I saw Elvis He was up on the silver screen Pushing a plough in a black and white movie And everybody started to scream Yes, he was the King. The last time I saw Elvis It was some kind of Vegas dream Spotlights flashed on a silver cape And a blue-haired lady screamed He was the King. The last time I saw Elvis He was fronting a three-piece band Rocking on the back of a flatbed truck With an old guitar in his hand He was the King

No, he is the king, he will always b. .There will always be only ONE KING of Rock and Roll, but I like Neil's playful song. Robert Keefer does a great Elvis tribute show. Wish I could have got more in the videos I took, uploaded here on YT Jan. 5th, 2013. Добавить комментарий.

Neil Young spent much of the 1980s experimenting with different genres, from new wave and country to rockabilly and blues. While all these albums all have great moments, they weren't exactly what his fanbase was craving; label boss David Geffen even sued Young for recording "unrepresentative music. But in 1990, Young called Crazy Horse back into the studio and cut a rock disc that stands up to anything he did back in the 1970s  . Neil was the guy in the fringe jacket that kept quitting. His self-titled debut in 1968 wasn't a huge hit, but just six months later he released Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere. It was the moment people realized Young was a major talent that wasn't going anywhere.

Neil Young's Tonight's the Night is a harrowing record about loss and death. Yet it often sounds like a raucous party thrown by a bunch of lovable knuckleheads having the time of their life. In addition to changing Young’s position in the marketplace, the album’s runaway success made a mark on record shopping for years to come. He was learning that bad things can start to happen when you reach your late twenties, especially when you’re drinking too much and doing too many drugs and are hanging around people who do the same.

Back in the sixties, Neil Young's high voice limited his career. He wrote many of Buffalo Springfield's best songs, but bandmate Richie Furay, who had a more conventional voice, was asked to sing most of them. But Neil Young's early solo hits, like Cinnamon Girl, proved beyond any doubt that the man couldn’t be held back. And his voice has held up remarkably well all these decades later after a steady stream of studio and live albums. Neil Young is still going strong. He’s still got his foot on the pedal and his supply is unceasing. Such was the shock value of this album that the recording company delayed its launch and Neil Young had to pressure them for two years before they would release it. After Young released the rockabilly 1983 album Everybody's Rockin, he was sued by the record label for making an unexpected and uncharacteristic album.

Neil Young’s time living in Malibu was marked by the darkest albums of his career, with the release of ‘Hitchhiker,’ a new layer to the story exists. Neil Young met his longtime producer and musical soul mate David Briggs while hitchhiking in Topanga Canyon in 1968. Eight years later, with Young’s personal life in turmoil, the two booked Malibu’s Indigo Ranch Studios (with only the actor Dean Stockwell looking on) to record Hitchhiker, a solo acoustic album that was never released until today. The album contains the original versions of some of Young’s best-loved songs as well as two previously unreleased tracks. Harvest, released in 1972, turned Neil Young into a household name. He sheepishly recalls playing Hitchhiker’s title track for Bob Dylan one night in 1974: When he heard ‘Hitchhiker. e told me ‘That’s honest. The moment still crosses my mind.
