Get on the stick and start to cram It's almost time for your final exam You don't want to flunk like a fool And you don't wanna have to go to summer school If you don't pas you might as well be dead You got to remember what your teacher said With flying colors you just gotta come through. Cause your mother and your father are counting on you Rack your brains, bite your nails Nobody's gonna love somebody who fails The pressure is on and so is the heat You're under the gun, feel free to cheat.

Final Exam is a 1978 album by Loudon Wainwright III. It was re-released on Telarc in 2006 at the time of his European tour as a double-disk album, coupled with his 1976 album T Shirt. The backing band were Slow Train; consisting of John Crowder, Richard Crooks, Ron Getman, Glen Mitchell and Stephen Tubin. At this point in his career, Wainwright was including a lot of electric and rockier songs. He emerged, reborn as an acoustic writer backed by acoustic folk/rock musicians

Loudon Wainwright III Wainwright writes with more precision and imagination than any other singer-songwriter of the current boom, and his melodies stick with you. He sings and plays with such authority that even though this record features only voice and acoustic guitar it's powerful musically. I enjoy this record quite a bit, but I admire it more, and sometimes I don't like it at all. B-. Album II In which Wainwright untwists the dense too literal and/or analytic to qualify as metaphor-that made his first album so hard to take, though for those who'd like to sample the mode "Be Careful, There's a Baby in the House" is as good as it gets

Loudon Wainwright III (album). Loudon Wainwright III (also known as Album I) is the debut album of Loudon Wainwright III. It was released on vinyl in 1970 on Atlantic Records. Like his second effort Album II, the album is a solo acoustic effort. Though his ironic sense of humour is evident, this is an altogether bleaker and more acerbic album ("Black Uncle Remus", "Four is a Magic Number", "Glad To See You've Got Religion") than most of his 1970s work.
