Love Stories is a 1998 greatest hits compilation album of love songs released by Swedish pop group ABBA. It consists of seventeen songs, about half of which have been singles. The other half are album tracks taken from the albums Arrival, ABBA: The Album, Super Trouper, and The Visitors. It was promoted by SAT1 on German TV. Love Stories replaces two old collections of ABBA's love songs, titled I Love ABBA and From ABBA With Love, both released in 1984 and deleted several years later.

ABBA is the third (second internationally) studio album by the Swedish pop group of the same name. It was originally released on 21 April 1975 through Polar Music and featured the hits "Mamma Mia" and "SOS". Following the Eurovision success of "Waterloo", ABBA saw the band gaining worldwide recognition. I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" topped the charts in Australia, as did "Mamma Mia" shortly after. SOS" and "Mamma Mia" became hits in both the United States and the United Kingdom.

The Album is the fifth studio album by the Swedish pop group ABBA. The album was released in conjunction with ABBA: The Movie, with several of the songs featured in the film. Altogether the album contained nine songs.

This album combines some of the best ABBA classics heard on "ABBA Gold" with some lesser-known ABBA gems which are not found on "ABBA Gold", "More ABBA Gold", "Complete Gold", or any of the other major collections. As the liner notes state, even though it is called "Love Stories", a more appropriate title could simply be "stories" because the songs deal with topics other than love as well - -such as the visionary feel of "I Have a Dream", a mother's feelings of regret as her daughter goes off to school and grows up before her eyes in "Slipping Through.
