The History of Iron Maiden – Part 1: The Early Days is a DVD video by Iron Maiden, released in 2004. It features the first part of The History of Iron Maiden series, a 90-minute documentary which describes their beginnings in London's East End in 1975 through to the Piece of Mind album and tour in 1983.

IRON MAIDEN - History Of - Part 1, The Early Days - 2 Dvd Set - Excellent. Iron Maiden DVD The History Of Iron maiden Part 1 The Early Days, EMI Sealed. Most songs originate from this album. Though the footage is almost as good as the Beast over Hammersmith from 1982, it's lacks some of it's bombastic enthusiastic power of Hammersmith. Still this is a very interesting show and fans will appreciate this very much!
It features live footage from four concerts, a documentary about the history of Iron Maiden from the foundation until the end of the World Piece Tour in 1983, as well as various little extras from the days between 1975 and 1983. The video was shot before the album was released, and therefore, there is very little crowd interaction whithin the songs. Bruce's famous "Scream For Me" has not yet appeared, and the songs are mostly played slower than on later live releases due to the different rhythm given by Clive Burr.
