American singer-songwriter Kim Carnes has released 13 studio albums, one live album, five compilation albums, and 48 singles (including seven as a featured artist). She signed with Amos Records in 1971 and released her debut album Rest on Me in the same year. Her self-titled second album was released in the following year. Kim Carnes yielded one single, "You're a Part of Me", which became Carnes' first charting title. The song reached number 32 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.

Not the audiophile remastering. This album originally was recorded on the whole less than for a month. Under the circumstances, every song was performed and recorded at once and in a definitive version. Therefore it was possible to avoid additional multiple re-recordings, which are ordinary practice in the sound record studio and to get a high quality of the original master-tapes. In spite of this, the remastering by " Culture Factory " does not correspond to audiophile requirements, although the " audiophile recording " sign is present on an album cover. There are distortions of such characteristics as sound dynamics, musical equilibrium, musical perspective, sound lightness on this CD . Therefore I would not recommend it for audiophiles, as well as and other editions, issued by " Culture Factory ". Probably the similar editions will be suitable for car and portable sound reproduction systems.
