Long-Awaited 'Long Way Up' TV series planned for the Americas. For many the Long Way Down and Long Way Round series, following Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman on their round-the-world adventure tours, are the reason they started riding Adventure Motorcycles. The new TV series is set to be called ‘Long Way Up’ and according to Charley, they’ll be getting the old team back together with producer Russ Malkin and the rest of Long Way Round/Down film crew. The route hasn’t been locked-in yet but the journey will most likely start in the southernmost part of South America (Ushuaia, Argentina) and continue all the way up to the northernmost point of Alaska.

I’m doing Long Way Up for sure, with Ewan," Boorman said in the video. We’re doing South America to Los Angeles, so South America, Central America, Mexico and then LA. We’re going to start that in a few months’ time, and hopefully do it, yeah. Ewan and Charley ride again. First reported August 21, 2018. They have been around the world and down it, but now Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman are planning a new adventure; riding up from the southern tip of South America to the northernmost point of Alaska and filming it for a new TV series set to be called The Long Way Up. "We are very much in the early planning stages at the moment," Boorman told MCN.

Ben Liebrand was without a doubt the "go to" remixer for most German and Dutch record companies and their dance music releases throughout the 1980s. A fact, which, in all due respect, I never quite understood why. In spite of his enormous output (> 1000+ releases !!!), Ben Liebrand's work actually never really caught on with most, major DJs at the time - at least not if they were a bit more progressively minded. Although technically flawless, his remixes always sounded a bit too cleansed and too commercial. His mixes usually also lacked a certain authenticity and the emotional punch to excite a larger club crowd in say, NYC, London or e.g. in Ibiza. And what personally turned me off back then, was his rework of bonafide Disco classics like The Tavares "It Only Takes A Minute" or Poussez! "Come On And Do It". I still must say that this was borderline to a sacrilege what he did to those wonderful songs... HOWEVER, Ben Liebrand did have his moments, with MDMC's "Long Way Up" being one of them. IMHO this song must be considered as being one of the VERY BEST 1980s pop dance tunes of the decade! No kidding: "Long Way Up" rivals even some of the best Bananarama or early Madonna tracks. This song is so catchy, uplifting and beautifully produced, it makes me wonder why Ben Liebrand did not focus more on his original production skills instead of putting most of his efforts on post-production work for others. Anyway, treat yourself and your record collection with this beauty. "Long Way Up" comes in three different, very cool flavors, i.e. mixes, with the stripped down "Downtown Version" being my current favourite. It is the prefect summer tune :-)
