Queen of Paradise Lyrics Left Banke. Left Banke - Queen of Paradise Songtext. I was walking the street With my mind in my feet And with no sense of time She was lying in bed And the things in her head I couldn't tell you about. Queen of paradise Yeah, she opened up my eyes All the colors of the night And the warmth of her delight Queen of paradise Queen of paradise Queen of paradise. It was the city of sin And the lights were all dim Except the smile on her face When she opened the door And I slid 'cross the floor I felt the power and the grace

1492: Conquest of Paradise is a 1992 music score to the film of the same name by Greek electronic composer and artist Vangelis. The film, a recount of the voyage to America in 1492 by Christopher Columbus, was directed by Ridley Scott, for whom Vangelis had previously composed the music score for Blade Runner, in 1982. The album and the single "Conquest of Paradise" enjoyed a revival in 1995 for various reasons and broke many sales records.

The Gates of Paradise (album). The Gates of Paradise is a studio album by progressive rock guitarist Robert Fripp. This album is more ambient than progressive rock, and continues Fripp's tendency towards soundscape explorations in his music. The album consists of two tracks, each broken into two parts

Not promising circumstances for the creation of The Left Banke Too, but surprisingly it's a fine album that shows the group's second string had plenty of talent and a sound creative vision. The album's tone differs from the debut, with fewer songs as mysterious as the lovelorn "Walk Away Renee" and "Pretty Ballerina," and a production that sounds more like intelligent sunshine pop than the leaner Baroque vision of its precursor.

The Left Banke was set. Well, except for one detail: Its members still couldn't play their instruments. They were booked on rock package tours and were really only capable of playing three of their own songs - two of which were the hits. The Left Banke was over. Michael Brown showed up in a few more projects, but American taste was turning away from pop. A few reunions without Brown happened in the '70s, and they made some later recordings that were never released, but the magic was all on that first album. Sometimes you just have to leave well enough alone.

The album failed to sell and within a couple of months the group was dropped from Smash's recording rooster. They struggled on for several months, playing small venues and clubs, before finally calling it quits at the end of the year. Over the next two years the band tried several comebacks. With Brown and Martin reuniting, the 1969 single 'Myrah' b/w 'Pedestal' (Smash catalog number 2243) went nowhere.

Album Walk Away Renée/Pretty Ballerina. The butler opened the parlor door I took my coat and approached the floor A door opened at the top of the stair A sexy lady she was standing there I stumbled and turned around to see Her evening gown Said yeah Alright! She said, "forward" She left for the stairs The light was on the jewels in her hair The only sign getting down on my chest I start to mumble on the way to address I made the way up and down upon Her evening gown Said yeah Alright! No! Mmm, hmm Alright.
