Let It Come Down is the fourth album by the rock band Spiritualized, released in 2001. It was recorded and produced at Abbey Road and AIR Studios. It took Jason Pierce, Spiritualized's lead singer, guitarist and sole constant member four years to write, perform, produce and release. An EP that allows Jason Pierce to get some of the excess material from Let It Come Down out of his system, Do It All Over Again is almost long enough to be a full album. The title track is Spiritualized's first true venture into traditional British rock, and Pierce proves he has the emotional maturity and songwriting chops to deliver a track that would do Supergrass proud. Another take of it, dubbed the "Evening Session Version," turns the song into a meandering and sparse ballad that calls to mind Atom Heart Mother-era Pink Floyd. Where most bands have B-sides that are little more than items for ravenous collectors, Spiritualized proves again that virtually everything it releases has Jason Pierce's trademark thoughtfulness and hard work stamped all over it. One of the standout tracks on the album of 2001, 'Do It All Over Again' is the most straightforward pop song Pierce has yet released. Sounding not unlike The Beach Boys, the lyrics seem to be about being in love but unable to make things right, and dare i say it, drugs? Even if you have 'Let It Come Down', its worth getting both singles for the extra tracks. CD1 contains a blistering version of 'On Fire' taken from the Evening Session last year, and the first recorded material from the 'new' Spiritualized
