Northern Girl is Amy's debut album, and it was the catalyst that brought her band Stillwaters together. On a visit to New England from Idaho, where she had been the house entertainer at the Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch for three years, Amy met mandolinist Kevin Lynch, who offered to produce an album for her. "It was a dream come true," Amy recalls. Not only did I wind up with my first album, but I came out of those sessions with a band as well. Listening to Northern Girl, it's easy to figure how she's come so far in only two years as a full-time professional. Gallatin's voice covers a broad range and is well supported on either end (and) has a fullness achieved only with the finest quality recording. -The Danbury News-Times. shows off Gallatin's sweet voice and combines it with clever instrumental work to produce a country sound as it was originally envisioned.
It’s named Northern girl, because its color reminds me of ice, snow and my hometown in the very north of Russia, where I grew up. I really miss that place! The pattern includes charts as well as written instructions. by Klara Zhulamanova. 65 projects, in 164 queues.

The Hot Flashes are Amy Gallatin, who with her expressive, soulful singing has made a name for herself on the Americana music scene both in the USA and in Europe; award-winning singer/songwriter Gail Wade, and Peggy Harvey, founding member of the long-running bluegrass group Traver Hollow and who performs with Gail in her band Turning Point. Peggy made guest appearances with Amy Gallatin & Stillwaters for many years during and after her Traver Hollow years, and Gail and Amy were drawn together through music, their mutual love of horses, and the Western life.
