Army of Me" is a song recorded by Icelandic musician Björk for her third studio album Post (1995). It was released on 21 April 1995 by One Little Indian as the lead single from the album. The song was written and produced by Björk and Graham Massey, who helped her in producing and writing the majority of her third album.

Army of Me was a commercial success, and the first single from Björk to enter in the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart. Lyrically, the song was inspired by the damaging behavior of Björk’s brother, whom she tells to stand up and to regain control of his life. The song was critically well received by critics, who noted its darkness and praised Björk’s energy. Björk premiered the song on some gigs during the Debut Tour before the release of the album. She performed it in a series of TV appearances, and notably, for the first time on Top of the Pops with Skunk Anansie

Any worries that a collection of 20 different versions of "Army of Me" could be repetitive are put to rest by the sheer diversity running through the album. Naturally, completely redone interpretations of the song, such as the Messengers of God's countrified singalong and Martin White's accordion instrumental, are the most radically different, but even the remixes of Björk's original have plenty of their own originality

The album is reissued as a DualDisc CD/DVD hybrid disc in in 2006, with the CD side featuring the original ten song album. The DVD includes a . Dolby Digital and DTS surround mixes of the entire album, plus the six music videos for all of the singles. It is also reissued numerous times on vinyl, including Direct Metal Mastered pressings, 180 gram and pink colored vinyl. Post peaks at number two on the UK album chart, number thirty two on the Billboard Top 200, and is certified Platinum in the US by the RIAA.

To be honest, out of all the music that I’ve done in my life, if there was ever an album I could not control, it was this one. she said, and was horrified when she first sat down and listened to the songs
