Burning Love and Hits from His Movies, Volume 2 is a compilation album by American singer and musician Elvis Presley. The album was released on November 1, 1972 on the budget label, RCA Camden. The contents of the album consist primarily of soundtrack recordings from various Presley films of the 1960s, augmented by both sides of his 1972 hit single, "Burning Love".

Burning Love" is a 1972 song by Elvis Presley written by Dennis Linde and originally recorded by country soul artist Arthur Alexander, who included it on his 1972 self-titled album. Elvis Presley had a major hit with the song, becoming his biggest hit single in the United States since "Suspicious Minds" in 1969 and his last Top 10 hit in the American Hot 100 or pop charts.

Dennis Linde, songwriter: born Abilene, Texas 18 March 1943; married Pam Beckham (one son, two daughters); died Nashville, Tennessee 22 December 2006. Burning Love" was first released commercially, along with three other Linde compositions, by Arthur Alexander on the eponymous album the country-soul pioneer made for Warner Brothers in Memphis in late 1971.

When Elvis released the single "Burning Love" in 1972, it soared to the top of the charts and became the last big hit he would have in his lifetime. Manager Colonel Tom Parker chose not to include the song on any of Elvis' upcoming LPs. The executives at his label, RCA, were furious, but could do nothing. In the end, this album doesn't make sense. There are some emotive, powerful performances here and the sound quality is stunning, but there's no real flow or continuity.

Burning Love is a song written by Dennis Linde and made famous by Elvis Presley. Elvis recorded it at RCA’s Hollywood studios on March 28, 1972. The song was first recorded by Arthur Alexander, who included it on his self-titled 1971 album

Last update on: February 14, 2018. Lyrics for Burning Love by Dennis Linde, The Ohio State University Marching Band & Dr. Jon R. Woods. Lord Almighty, I feel my temperature risin' Higher higher, it's burnin' through to my soul Girl, girl, girl, you're gonna set me on fire.

Lord Almighty I feel my temperature rising Higher higher It's burning through to my soul Girl, girl, girl You going to set me on fire My brain is flaming I don't know which way to go. Your kisses lift me higher Like the sweet song of a choir You light my morning sky With burning love. Ooh, ooh, ooh I feel my temperature rising Help me, I'm flaming I must be a hundred and nine Burning, burning, burning And nothing can cool me I just might turn into smoke But I feel fine
