John Bellows - Clean Your Clock FLAC album

Really really great in my, ‘I CAN RELATE!’ mental quadrant. Love, wine, feelings, blood, anger, garbage, graves, happy as a lullaby, a windshield fly, fish, I’m better than most idiots raving so show me what you got, aliens, your neighbors can mow it. In company with Mellow Gold, In the Aeroplane over the Sea, Zappa/Beefheart, certain collectives, Danielson Familie, Ween, the type of person who can pull off a lot of $&1t all on their own.

The son of Kentucky pig farmers, John Bellows' adolescent mind had been seriously warped by the discovery of punk and an extended acid binge. Clean Your Clock, his debut album, was completed in 2005, and self-released in a very limited pressing of CD-Rs. Bellows has spent the last eight years freaking out the Chicago underground with just a guitar and his singular vision.

Clean Your Clock is the thirteenth and last live album by the band Motörhead, released on 10 June 2016. This was recorded during their European 40th Anniversary tour. It is compiled from two sold-out shows at the Zenith in Munich, Germany, on 20 and 21 November 2015 (both nights were filmed but only the first show was released). Unbeknownst to UDR Records at the time, these two shows would turn out to be the last Motörhead live shows that were recorded professionally.

Clean Your Clock (2016) by Motörhead. Genres: Heavy Metal, Hard Rock. Songs: Start, Live Intro, Bomber, Stay Clean, Metropolis, When the Sky Comes Looking for Yo. .Heavy Metal, Hard Rock.

Clean Your Clock is raucous and raw, with the set captured as it was played, with a lot of energy and passion along with some minor imperfections. Even though he was nearly 70 at the time, Lemmy still rocked harder than many people decades younger. Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee sound great, with each getting their time in the spotlight with extended solos. Nearly 35 years later, five songs from that album were also included on Clean Your Clock, showing the staying power of those classic songs and of Motorhead themselves. A Motorhead concert was always a joyous occasion, with fans leaving the venue energized and happy. And while there is a sense of sadness watching Clean Your Clock knowing that there won’t be any more Motorhead shows like this one, there is an even greater sense of joy and appreciation watching Lemmy and company do what they do best.

You’ll ask me why it doesn’t have the notoriety of some of the above? I don’t know. It’s maturing, ripening, sure to be ‘rediscovered’ at some later date. Like the painter who didn’t quite get to witness his own greatness within his lifetime. If you’re into those sorts of things. A+ Dammit
