Maria Rosa Canelas (July 30, 1941 – June 10, 2004), better known as Rosinha de Valença, was a Brazilian composer, arranger and musician. She was considered one of the best acoustic guitarists in Brazilian music and played with many famous artists, such as Baden Powell, Sérgio Mendes, Sylvia Telles and Sivuca. Rosinha de Valença is a 1973 album recorded by the Brazilian musician Rosinha de Valença. Produced by João Melo, this album was released simultaneously in Brazil, for Som Livre, and in France, for Barclay After long period of neglect, this album was reissued on CD in 2002, as one of the works included in Som Livre Master series, organized by Charles Gavin.

Rosinha de Valença was at her peak during the '60s when she was performing at ~the Bottle's nightclub in Rio (one of the focal points of bossa nova). In that decade, she was celebrated by important artists like Baden Powell, Maria Bethânia, Aloysio de Oliveira (who invited her to record her first album), Sérgio Mendes (with whom she and his band, Brasil 65, performed during an eight-month American tour), Sivuca, Martinho da Vila, and others.
