OZZY OSBOURNE: I'm not one of these guys to do my solo stuff one night and Black Sabbath the next. I can't do that, you know. It's too much to handle. So with the Black Sabbath thing, the record company wants us to do one more record, and we've decided to do one more tour, and at the end of the tour we just disband and I go back to doing my solo stuff. And that's why I released Memoirs of a Madman, to let people out there know I'm still functioning as a solo artist. ESQ: What was the process like for the first 1970 album? OZZY: We'd never recorded in a recording studio before. We pulled up, took our gear in, played. Twelve hours it was done. Lo and behold, January comes around, the record comes out, and it's like a major hit. From that moment on my life forever changed.

Interview with OZZY OSBOURNE. If there’s an artist who needs no introduction by now it’s Ozzy Osbourne (well, this scribe’s French teacher never heard of the man, but anyway). Back into action with his new album, Scream, and a new, young band that possess a lot of dignity so Ozz doesn’t look a bear in the kindergarten this time, Osbourne still cuts it as proved by his triumphant show in Israel where the veteran wasn’t in a top shape of voice yet was flying high. This little conversation took place a couple of days before the fantastic show  . The main theme of the album seems to be mortality. Is it becoming a more sensitive matter as of lately? I think when you’ve been around for a while you naturally begin reflecting back on your life.

When he meets with Rolling Stone, Ozzy is in suburban Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he’s kicking off the North American leg of the tour. He’s dubbed the trek the No More Tours 2 Tour, since he says it will be his final full world tour. He’s adamant that he’s not retiring - In essence, what I’m trying to do is slow my lifestyle down to a more comfortable way of living, he says - and he’s reserving the right to do short runs that focus on one particular continent in the future. He’s turning 70 in December and wants more time with his grandkids. But at the same time, after spending the past.

Ozzy Osbourne spoke with Full Metal Jackie about having Zakk Wylde back in the band, the end of Black Sabbath, what the future holds and more. Ozzy Osbourne was the latest guest on Full Metal Jackie's weekend radio program. During the discussion, the Prince of Darkness touched on how he's more blown away than ever by Zakk Wylde's guitar playing, the end of Black Sabbath and the band's influence, not wanting to retire, a potential new solo album and what the future holds. Check out the chat below. We're so excited to have you. Obviously there's so much happening like when it was announced that Zakk Wylde was playing with you again - such exciting news. He's sort of been your go to guitarist for much.

Ozzy Osbourne is recounting one of his darker adventures. Though his booze-soaked, cocaine-fueled escapades-from allegedly snorting ants with Mötley Crüe to defiling the Alamo to biting the head off a bat-have become the stuff of legend, nothing scarred Ozzy’s chemically addled psyche as deeply as the night he almost strangled his wife
