Watch That Man" is a song written by David Bowie, the opening track on the album Aladdin Sane from 1973. Its style is often compared to The Rolling Stones' Exile on Main Street. The mix, in which Bowie's lead vocal is buried within the instrumental sections, has generated discussion among critics and fans

Watch That Man Lyrics. Shakey threw a party that lasted all night Everybody drank a lot of something nice There was an old fashioned band of married men Looking up to me for encouragement - it was so-so The ladies looked bad but the music was sad No one took their eyes off Lorraine She shimmied and she strolled like a Chicago moll Her feathers. looked better and better - it was so-so Yea! it was time to unfreeze When the Reverend Alabaster danced on his knees Slam! so it wasn't a game Cracking all the mirrors in shame

Watch that man 2- Aladdin Sane (4:30). Watching him dash away, swinging an old bouquet - dead roses Sake and strange divine Uh-h-h-uh-h-uh you'll make it Passionate bright young things, takes him away to war - don't fake it Saddening glissando strings Uh-h-h-uh-h-uh - you'll make it. Who'll love Aladdin Sane Battle cries and champagne just in time for sunrise Who'll love Aladdin Sane

Another classic Bowie album, another metamorphosis and giant leap forward in new directions. David Bowie reinventing himself or repurposing for want of a better word on the Aladdin Sane release. Vibrant energetic sounds so influential to progressive sounds in the 70's and 80's. I often think of Bowie and the Beatles as similar in terms of creative output affecting music either subconcously or consciously respectively. Therefore Bowie being a much more subtle influence on his musical peers. Aladdin Sane carried so much clout that it carries the essential tag and IMO always will

Ziggy Stardust wrote the blueprint for David Bowie's hard-rocking glam, and Aladdin Sane essentially follows the pattern, for both better and worse. A lighter affair than Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane is actually a stranger album than its predecessor, buoyed by bizarre lounge-jazz flourishes from pianist Mick Garson and a handful of winding, vaguely experimental songs. Bowie abandons his futuristic obsessions to concentrate on the detached cool of New York and London hipsters, as on the compressed rockers "Watch That Man," "Cracked Actor," and "The Jean Genie.

Album · 1973 · 10 Songs. Inspired by the joys and frustrations of touring the US, Aladdin Sane adds more hard-rock muscle to Bowie’s glam-pop, with Mick Ronson’s blunt-force riffs driving The Jean Genie, Cracked Actor and Panic in Detroit. If that all sounds a little conservative by The Dame’s standards, experimental jazz pianist Mick Garson helps keep a subversive streak alive, particularly on the title track. Meanwhile, lyrical themes such as the post-apocalyptic sex-scapes of Drive-In Saturday ensure Bowie remains a pop star like no other. Aladdin Sane (2013 Remastered Version) David Bowie.
