Goya is filled to the brim with ironic, iconoclastic indie-lounge-pop. From the title track's inspired, catchy riff on "Tequila" to the hidden final song, a cover of "J-I-N-G-L-E Bells," Goya features some of Jenny Toomey's and Mark Robinson's best writing and playing. Toomey's songs narrowly edge out Robinson's as being the more memorable of the two; the barely contained emotions in "Cherishino," "Pinky Tuscadero," and, especially, "Fillings" give all the irony of Goya a solid, valid base.

Grenadine was an indie rock 'supergroup' from Arlington, Virginia comprising Jenny Toomey (of Tsunami), Mark Robinson (of Unrest), and Rob Christiansen (of Eggs). The band released two albums and three singles in the early 1990s. In contrast to the band members other work, the band's sound has been described as "lounge-pop". The band formed in 1991 and featured Jenny Toomey (vocals, guitar), Mark Robinson (vocals, guitar), and Rob Christiansen (trombone, guitar, drums)
