Justin Hayward and an orchestra covering songs that he'd admired by other songwriters, this time on a grand scale that makes this record sound both sonically impressive and terribly pretentious. It's debatable whether the pop world needed Richard Harris's rendition of "MacArthur Park," but it definitely didn't need Hayward's even more cloying version 20-odd years later. As Long as the Moon Can Shine. feat: Mike Batt, London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Classic Blue is the fourth solo studio album by The Moody Blues member Justin Hayward. Classic Blue was released in 1989 by Trax Records (later re-released on Castle Music Records in 1994), and features Mike Batt, who also produced the album, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The album includes cover versions of many hit songs, such as The Beatles' "Blackbird", and Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven.

Shall I tell you about my life? They say I'm a man of the world I've flown across every tide And I've seen lots of pretty girls Yes I've g. Heyo! SONGLYRICS just got interactive. Shall I tell you about my life?

1993 reissue on Castle of the Moody Blues vocalist's 1989solo album for Trax Music with Mike Batt & The LondonPhilharmonic Orchestra assisting. The 13 track album iscomprised of pop & rock classics, including 'The Tracks OfMy Tears', 'God Only Knows', 'MacArthur Park', 'A WhiterShade Of Pale', 'Blackbird', 'Man Of The World' and'Stairway To Heaven'. The playlist is a collection of older tunes, from Scarborough Fair, to a newer rendering of Forever Autumn. This ALBUM covers his vocal range well, and the production is excellent. Although originally released in 1996, it stands up well. After listening to this album, I am now hoping for a Classic Blue Vo., there are many songs out there that would lend themselves to the same treatment, Mr Hayward has recently released a new Album, but I still think Vol 2 would be a winner.
